Photo Filter Project
Photo Filter Project
Learning Target: Continue to learn about Photoshop basics by using your own personal photos.
Why: Use your own photos and apply your knowledge of filters and adjustments to the new Photo Filter Project
***Save your photos to your Google Drive?
Directions: Use five of your own photos.
- **Create a new folder in your Visual Design folder (Photo Filter Project)
- Move your best five pictures to your new folder
- Edit all 5 photos with different filters
- Save each photo as a .psd, then save as a .jpeg.
- Give them an appropriate name
- You should be able to find them later!
- **Using the snipping tool, snip your folder view (with address and pictures in large view)
- Save the snipped folder in your Photo Filter Project
- Decide which filtered photo is your favorite
- Create a new document (11 by 8.5")
- Drag from the vertical ruler a guide to mark half the page (5.5")
- Place your favorite edited photo in the new document
- Use CTRL T to resize it to fit half of the new document (hold shift to keep the correct proportion when resizing)
- Insert the matching original photo (resize with CTRL T)
- **Align the two photos (Mrs. B. will demonstrate)
- **Trim the artboard to fit (demonstration also)
- Save the document as "Photo Filter Project" as a .psd and then a .jpg
- In Google+ Community, upload your folder snapshot AND the "Photo Filter Project.jpg" file, add #photofilterbest
- "+" your three favorite pictures (wait until all are uploaded)
